  • Annie Emmertson, an exceptional needs specialist at Gilliard Elementary
  • Dr. Susan Henderson, Fine Arts Supervisor, Central Office
  • Robin Hinson, a literacy teacher at Turner Elementary

The certification is in effect for five years. National Board Certified Teachers who maintained their certification were also recognized during the ceremony. They are:

  • Jessica Ellzey, a middle childhood generalist in the Teaching, Learning and Assessment division
  • Anna Freeman, an early childhood generalist at Turner Elementary
  • Mary Louise Hoffman, a literacy teacher at Whitley Elementary
  • Kelly Mills, an early childhood generalist at Griggs Elementary
  • Julie Neidhardt, an early childhood generalist in the Teaching, Learning and Assessment division
  • Kelly Parker, a teacher at Tanner Williams Elementary
  • Stephanie Pettis, a library media specialist at Hutchens Elementary
  • Laura Sergeant, an exceptional needs specialist at Griggs Elementary
  • Chassity Rice, an exceptional needs specialist at Baker High School
  • Jaime Walton, a literacy teacher at Wilmer Elementary
